Absol Zukan (アブソル 図鑑第) Absol 1/40 Scale Zukan
ポケモン アドバンスジェネレーション 立体 1 図鑑第 アブソル
Tomy, 2003
Height: 2cm (excluding horn)
What every Absol fan should own - The famous Absol Zukan figure! It's actually quite small, but the roaring pose isn't found in many Absol figures. I originally bought this with Mightyena and Poochyena for just $4, but Absol lacked a base. By amazing luck, I found a seller on Japan Yahoo! with the Absol BallChoco Figure standing on what I was hoping was an Absol Base. And sure enough, it was!

Absol Kids (アブソル キッズ) Absol Kids - Technique & Advanced
ポケモン キッズ キメわざ & アドバンス 3 アブソル
Bandai, 2005 & 2003
Height: 4cm
The regular Kids figures. The sitting one is the first, and the Attack is the second. There is also a re-release which I'm working on obtaining. I'm always such a fan of Absol in any growling pose, so it's my fave figure of the two. Both were obtained in figure lots on Yahoo!Japan, which included a load of other Kids figures. I only have the sticker of regular Absol right now though.

Absol Clear Kids (アブソル クリア キッズ) Absol Clear Kids - Technique & Advanced
ポケモン キッズ キメわざ & アドバンス 3 クリア アブソル
Bandai, 2005 & 2003
Height: 4cm
The Clear Kids figures are randomly inserted in certain series' boxes. The sitting Clear was a lucky find on Yahoo!Japan - It was mislabelled in a lot of figures for only 500Yen! The Attacking Clear was obtained by the Pokémon Collectors Community member, Pheonixxfoxx who, at the time, sadly had to sell off her Absol items. Thank you again! They're among the better looking clears in my opinion.

Absol Shiny Kids (アブソル クリア キッズ) Absol Shiny Kids
ポケモン キッズ アドバンス 色違い アブソル
Bandai, 2003
Height: 4cm
Yes, a Shiny Absol Kids figure was indeed made, as part of a lottery set. I was lucky enough to get this beauty from a seller on the Pokémon Collectors Community a couple of years back. They were available in a lottery-style campaign that was held in Japan. They still make shiny Kids every now and then, but they are few and far between. They need more Shiny Absol merch, they really do.

Absol Bathsalt (アブソル びっくら) Absol 'Bikkura' Bathsalt
ポケットモンスター びっくらたまご アブソル
Bandai, 2003
Height: 4cm
The Absol Bathsalt was once again another lucky find amongst a load of other items on Yahoo!Japan. It is actually very hard to find these figures still looking white, as part of the plastic used is very prone to yellowing. Mine also still smells nice at the bottom! The pose kind of reminds me of the Attacking Absol Kid figure, just with the mouth closed instead of open. It's still a very cute little figure.

Absol BallChoco (アブソル ボールチョコ) Absol BallChoco
ボールチョコ第1弾 011アブソル
Bandai, 2003
Height: 4cm
The Absol BallChoco Figure was first obtained in the original packet (see Mint In Box page) where I decided for some reason not to open it given it's rarity. Sometimes I regretted that decision, until I found an auction containing it standing on top of the Absol Zukan base. There were some other neat Zukan there too, so winning the auction nabbed me this figure, and allowed me to keep one in the packet.

Absol Full Color (アブソル フルカラーアドバンス) Absol Full Color Stadium
ポケットモンスター フルカラーアドバンス02 アブソル
Bandai, 2003
Height: 4cm
The Absol Full Color (aka pokéDex) figure was fun to find. I first saw it in France, but after getting a capsule, I found out the series advertised was not the ones inside the machine. I later found the full set for sale on Yahoo!Japan, but couldn't afford the set. Luckily, after waiting a bit, I found someone selling it with some other items in a lot - Which also helped me get a cheap MIB Clear Mew Moncolle!

Absol Special Keychain (アブソル マスコット ホルダー) Absol Special Keychain
トミー ポケモン マスコット ホルダー2 アブソル
Tomy, 2003
Height: 4cm
This growling keychain is one of my favourite items. As with most of my items, it came from a lot on Yahoo!Japan. It's a beautiful pose, and it stands perfectly. The growling pose on Absol figures tend to look nice, but this one looks amazing, and happens to be my favourite Absol figure/keychain. I'd love to obtain another in the future, to hang as a keychain with my keys without fear of it getting damaged or lost.

Absol TM Machine Pencil Topper (アブソル わざマシンコレクション) Absol Technical Machine Pencil Topper
ポケモン アドバンスジェネレーション わざマシンコレクション1 アブソル
Bandai, 2005
Height: 4cm
The Absol Technical Machine (TM) Pencil Topper was one of my first ever purchases online of Absol, from a great eBay seller known as mybeans4sale. I purchased two at the amazing price of $1.25 each - One to take out of the pack, and one to keep in (see Mint In Box page). The unique pose is refreshing, although I still prefer growling Absol figures. But that's only me and my opinion.

Absol DX Figure (アブソル ボールチョコ) Absol DX Figure
ポケモンAGフィギュア アブソル
Tomy/Hasbro, 2003
Height: 4cm
You'd except this DX figure to be super rare and hard to get hold of, wouldn't you? Well, it's incredibly common. Why? Because after Japan released it, Europe released it. And on top of that, they were mass-released and the most common of the series. They even went down to about £3.99 at most UK stores (cheap enough for me to purchase a second one which can be seen on the MIP Page. It's still a beautiful figure, and a must have for any collector.

Absol Data Carrier (アブソル データキャリアーフィギュア) Absol Data Carrier
データキャリアーフィギュア アブソル
Tomy, 2003
Height: 4cm
The Absol Data Carrier Figure is beautiful. I found mine whilst browsing Yahoo!Japan and was lucky enough to get it a great price - It even came with some other rare Data Carrier figures, such as Seviper and Zangoose. The figures can be used to play a game, provided you own this item and some knowledge of Japanese I presume (haven't opened mine yet). It's a fairly rare figure overall, and I'm stoked to have it.

Absol Trading Figures (アブソル トレーディンフィギュア) Absol Trading Figures
アブソル トレーディンフィギュア
Kaiyoda, 2006
Height: 4cm
The Trading Figure Game was sadly discontinued, but not before the first series released Absol in a total of three different forms. Regular, Pearl (EU/AUS exclusive) and Crystal (US exclusive). 1st Edition variations are now extremely difficult to obtain, as is even the Crystal version. But the rarest of all is the Pearl, which I found on eBay a long time ago (and came with a free - Yes free - Ho-Oh TF)!

Absol Town Figure (アブソル タウンフィギュア) Absol Town Figure
アブソル タウンフィギュア
Bandai, 2003
Height: 4cm
The Absol 'Town' Figure was caught in a GA on the Pokémon Collectors Community. A huge lot containing over 100 figures, I started a successful Group Auction, which resulted in a very happy me receiving this cute little figure. A magnet is underneath. They were obtained in one of two ways - Through a gashapon prize, or through a carded set together. As the name suggests, all the figures come with a piece of scenery to form a Town.

Absol Soft Mascot (アブソル ソフトマスコット) Absol Soft Mascot
トミー ポケットモンスターAGソフトマスコット アブソル
Tomy, 2003
Height: 4cm
The Absol Soft Mascot is often mistaken for a Kids figure, despite being marked as Tomy. Mine was found mine in a lot of figures, in great condition. This is another figure that is slightly prone to yellowing, but not as much as the BathSalt figure. It's a bit smaller than a Kids figure, and came in set with the other stars of the Jirachi Movie.

Absol PokéColle Cap (アブソル ポケコレキャップ) Absol PokéColle Cap Series 5
ポケコレキャップ 5 アブソル
Tomy, 2003
Height: 4cm
The Absol pokéColle Cap was a handy find on Yahoo!Japan one day. I will one day get the mint condition variation, but right now the cap on it's own is good enough for me. Mine isn't as used as it appears in the photo - It's been cleaned up a bit since then. I actually quite like this figure - Absol perched on the Mountain-style stand makes this figure look very nice.

Absol Mascot (アブソル マスコット) Absol Mascot
ポケモン マスコット アブソル
Kaiyoda, 2006
Height: 4cm
This little Absol is just the Movie keychain without the keychain. Well, having one without the keychain means I can use this as a spare, right?

Absol Hasbro (アブソル ハスブロフィギュア) Absol Hasbro Double Action Figure
アブソル ハスブロ ダブルアクションフィギュア
Hasbro, 2003
Height: 4cm
Now this is a rare figure. Even rarer than a lot of the Japanese figures. Whilst it was released in Europe, the UK decided not to stock it (Because apparently Pokémon isn't that popular over here.... Well, so say some....). Absol comes with a blade to use the signature Razor Wind attack, as well as a Data Chip (which can be seen on my other Double Action Figure on the MIB page. The pose is original, and to the best of my knowledge has not been released in Japan.

Absol CharaBottlin (ポケモン キャラボトリン アブソル) Absol Bottlin 'Figure in a Bottle'
ポケモン キャラボトリン1 アブソル
Tomy, 2003
Height: 4cm
The Absol Botolin Figure was harder to get than I thought it would be. Whenever I saw the auctions containing these figures, they were always for other characters in the series, or came at a time when I didn't have enough money to buy them. I finally found one with Absol and several others, and the seller even included the box they were sold in! It's a pretty cool figure (Then again, most Bottlin are) and unlike some others I own, it doesn't keep 'floating' to the top and get stuck.

Absol Hasbro (アブソル ハスブロフィギュアス) Absol Hasbro Figures
アブソル ハスブロ フィギュアス
Hasbro, 2003
Height: 4cm
The two Hasbro figures - One was released with Mudkip (and can be seen MIB on the Mint In Box page) and the other was part of a Top 10 Fan Voted Favourites - Yes, despite being one of the Top Ten, Jakks still haven't cottoned on to the popularity of Absol..... Yet. Their tails are quite hidden, due to them being flopped instead of upright like in other figures. They're not too bad, especially when compared with some of their other figures.

Absol Moncolle (アブソル モンコレ) Absol Tomy Monster Collection
ポケモンセンター アブソル モンコレ
Tomy, 2003
Height: 5cm (excluding horn)
Comparison Images - Tails - EUvsJP

The Absol Moncolle Figures (Known as Tomy or Monster Collection by most) are one of the most common types of figures. But the one on the far left is actually very rare - It is a promotional movie release (which I would very much like to get MIB in the future) with a translucent appearance. Next to it are the Japanese and European figures. And yes, they are different, just like the pokéDolls! The blue used is darker on the European, and the 'head horn' is much more slanted in the European version. Not shown but owned is a 10th Ann. Pearl Moncolle Figure.

Absol ChouGet (ポケモン 超ゲット アブソル) Absol Chou Get
ポケモンセンター 超ゲット アブソル
Bandai, 2008
Height: 5cm
The Absol Chou Get is a special Daisuki Club Prize of 100. It was given to people randomly who were a part of the Pokémon Daisuki Club in Japan in a raffle-style drawing. Oh, and by the way - There's a Mew hidden under the truck in Red/Blue.
